Georgia Association of Convenience Stores

Legislation

GACS Legislative Representation

Since 1973, GACS has been the voice for Georgia’s convenience store industry. Our staff monitors legislation daily during the Georgia General Assembly (January-April) and reports legislation to the membership on a regular basis. As a cohesive force, we have fought many legislative battles and won! But only because of our strength as an industry & each members’ loyalty to GACS and its mission.

Political Action Committee

In 1987 GACS established GACSPAC, a political action committee to support candidates who support the convenience store industry. As a state PAC, GACSPAC accepts personal and/or corporate contributions subject to state guidelines and limits. Contributions to GACSPAC are not deductible as a business expense.

GACS Action Center LogoWith retailers and supplier partners throughout Georgia, our industry has the potential reach to impact elected officials throughout out state. Recognizing this, in 2011 GACS set up the GACS Action Center through VoterVoice, a nationally recognized grassroots system whose clients include NACS and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. VoterVoice matches members with their state and federal elected officials, both at where they live and work. More than 1,000 GACS members can now contact their representatives with a simple touch of a button. Find your legislator now.

If you are not yet in the GACS Action Center, download the form and return it to GACS.

Together we are stronger!
