This year marks a remarkable milestone as our nation celebrates 250 years of American independence. It's a time to reflect on the values that have shaped our country: hard work, resilience, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to drive our communities forward. Those same values are at the heart of Georgia's convenience store industry. Every day, convenience stores serve as more than just places to fuel up or grab a quick meal. They are gathering places, neighborhood staples, first jobs for young people, and trusted businesses that remain open when communities need them most. Whether supporting local schools, responding during natural disasters, or simply greeting customers with a smile, our members make a meaningful difference across Georgia! As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, I'm reminded that our industry's strength has always come from its people. The retailers, suppliers, distributors, and partners who make up GACS embody the determination and ingenuity that have defined our nation for two and a half centuries. Together, we've navigated changing markets, evolving regulations, and new technologies while continuing to serve our customers with excellence. This anniversary is not only an opportunity to honor our past but also to look toward the future. The next generation of industry leaders is already emerging, bringing fresh ideas and new perspectives while carrying forward the values that have made our businesses successful.
