GACS was organized to advocate in Georgia. As such, we foster a strong relationship with the National Association of Convenience Stores to offer additional resources, and advocacy on a federal level.
NACS, the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing, was founded in 1961. It represents over 2100 retail and 1600 supplier members. NACS is key in representing the industry to the federal government. Learn more about NACS. The US convenience store industry includes 154,195 stores and had sales of $547.8 billion (2015). Georgia is one of the top five states in the nation for convenience stores, with 7,336 stores across the state (2015). Total sales were $27.471 billion, with $18.741 billion in fuel sales.
